Notice Summary
The SLX 9540 in release SLXOS 20.1.1 when configured for Optiscale may cause routes to be wrongly programmed causing incorrect forwarding and connectivity issues.

Background
After upgrading from SLXOS 18r1.00(x) or SLXOS 18r.2.00(x) to SLXOS 20.1.1, connectivity issues and high CPU were seen due to mis-programmed routes in hardware. 

 
Impact
Connectivity issue to some subnets may be affected. Packets may be wrongly forwarded via the CPU rather than hardware causing significant traffic loss. 
Products Affected
SLX 9540 ONLY 
Software Affected
SLXOS 20.1.1 ONLY 
Symptoms
100% connectivity issue, and ping loss to some subnets\hosts. 
Workaround
None
Solution
A fix for Defect ID SLXOS-50230 will be included in a future SLXOS 20.1.1 patch release and the 20.1.2a patch release.
