Environment
Procedure
To forward Directed Broadcast packets not intended for other subnets, such as Server IP = 192.0.2.10/24 sending out broadcast packets 192.0.2.255/24, but the destination network is 198.51.100.0/24, we can use the following configuration:


configure
ip access-list extended broadcast-acl
permit udp host 192.0.2.10 any eq 64141
exit

interface vlan.0.1
ip address 192.0.2.1 255.255.255.0 primary
ip helper-address 198.51.100.255
ip directed-broadcast access-list broadcast-acl
no shutdown
exit

interface vlan.0.2
ip address 198.51.100.1 255.255.255.0 primary
ip directed-broadcast access-list broadcast-acl
no shutdown
exit

ip forward-protocol udp 64141
