Objective
  • Use Identity Engines Ignition with a new or existing Extreme Networks Identifi wireless deployment.
  • Add support for Identifi Vendor ID to Ignition.
  • Send certain pre-defined Vendor Specific Attributes (VSA) via RADIUS to Identifi.
Environment
  • Identity Engines Ignition
  • Software Releases PRIOR to 9.5.0
  • Identifi
Procedure
  1. Launch Ignition Dashboard and log in.
  2. Click Configuration -> Site 0 -> Site Configuration.
  3. Click Provisioning -> RADIUS -> Vendors/VSAs.
  4. Confirm no ExtremeWireless, ExtremeWireless-WiNG or Zebra vendor definitions currently exist.
  5. Click Actions -> New Vendor.
  6. Type the Vendor Name "ExtremeWireless".
  7. Type the Vendor ID "4329". Click OK.
  8. Under ExtremeWireless -> VSA Definitions, click "New".
    • Add any combination of the attributes below, or all.

  1. Under ExtremeWireless -> Device Templates, click "New".
  2. Type the Device Template Name "generic-extreme-wireless".
  3. Click the "Use VLAN Label" radio button.
  4. Select "Inbound-User-Name" as the MAC Address Source.
Additional notes
NOTE: This procedure does not apply to Ignition Server 9.5.0 and above as these definitions are now included in these releases.
