Environment
ERS / VSP 7000 running all supported releases
Procedure
Step 1: Backup configuration file with TFTP:
  • Type copy config tftp address <tftp-server-address> filename <user-defined-name>


Step 2: Erase config on the switch:
1. Login to switch with appropriate access level
2. Type enable
3. Type boot default
4. Enter "y" to confirm

    Step 3: Restore the config use TFTP:
    1. Ensure a backup config is in root directory of TFTP server on PC (see step 1)
    2. Type enable
    3. Type copy tftp config address <tftp-server-address> filename <user-defined-name>
