TitleHOW TO Configure Identity Engines Policies Originating From Specific Wireless SSID
Objective
A quick example on how to create policies on Identity Engines to match requests originating from one or more specific SSID's.
Environment
  • Identity Engines
  • All Software Releases
  • SSID
Procedure
The inbound attribute Inbound-Called-Station-ID can be used for match requests originating from a specific SSID as long as the originating wireless access point / controller embeds the SSID name within the Called-Station-ID string.

Use a 'contains' matching rule against this inbound attribute.

Additional notes
Inbound-Called-Station-ID: Normally contains (1) the MAC address of the Access Point and (2) the SSID on which the wireless device is connecting. These 2 fields are separated by a colon. Example: “AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF:SSID_NAME”.
