Objective
HTTPS access to the switches need SSL certificates.
SSL certificate is a pair of public and private-key combination.
public key will be shared by the switch to the PC during HTTPS transaction, based on the public key the PC encrypts the data and send it over to the switch for high security.
Only switch can decrypt the data since it will only have the private key to decrypt the traffic.
Environment
  • EXOS All 
  • SSL
  • HTTPS
  • public key
  • private key
Procedure
A2:U18.1 # configure ssl certificate pregenerated
Paste X.509 certificate in Privacy Enhanced Mail (PEM) format.
Enter blank line for end of certificate.
A2:U18.2 # configure ssl privkey pregenerated
Paste private key in Privacy Enhanced Mail (PEM) format.
Enter blank line for end of private key.

The first command is to install the public key which you received by AD-CS admin or a third party vendor.
The second command is to install the private key. 

Once loaded "restart process thttpd" 

 
Additional notes
Please make sure the trusted certificate or the certificate chain is loaded to the PC's trusted store to avoid any warning messages.
