TitleHow To Configure a Probe To Monitor Virtual Ports on Servers in an LSNAT Group
Objective
The following shows how to configure  a probe to monitor ports on servers in an LSNAT server farm so that servers can be removed if the application fails. You can monitor TCP or UDP but this example shows a TCP probe.

The probe will monitore the ports in each server group to which it is applied. So, the same TCP probe can be used for HTTP and telnet by applying it to multiple real servers.
The following only shows how to configure the probe and does not include the virtual server config.
Environment
S-Series
Procedure
1. Create the probe in config mode
probe french tcp
inservice
exit

2. Apply the probe under real server config

ip slb serverfarm luke
real 10.58.0.25 port 23
faildetect probe one french
