Objective
Use the following config if you need to peer with a public BGP speaker and a Private BGP Speaker using different AS numbers.
Environment
S-Series
Procedure
Using the following config 10.1.77.1 has BGP AS 300 public), and the BGP private AS is set to 65000 and the neighbor 10.1.77.2 has BGP private AS 65100

router bgp 300
neighbor 10.1.77.2 remote-as 65100
neighbor 10.1.77.2 local-as 65000
exit


Once they get ESTABLISHED, “Use show ip bgp neighbours” to verify the local AS used.

SSA(su-config)->sh ip bgp neighbors

BGP neighbor is: 10.1.77.2, remote AS: 65100
