Procedure
  1. Before rebooting the switch, connect via the serial console port. Enter BootROM by holding <spacebar> during boot.

2. Assign an temporary IP address, subnet mask, and gateway to the switch. This is a temporary address and will be cleared on boot.
BootRom >  configip ?
configip - configure Mgmt Ethernet network parameters

Usage:
configip [ipaddress | ip] <ipaddr> [gateway | gw] <gatewayip> [netmask | nm] <netmask>

BootRom >  configip ipaddress 10.67.72.150 gateway 10.67.72.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
setting ip address to 10.67.72.150
setting gateway ip address to 10.67.72.1
setting netmask to 255.255.255.0

Note: IP, netmask, and gateway can be verified by issuing the command 'configip'.
BootRom >  configip

        Mgmt Netmask         = 255.255.255.0

3. Verify connectivity to the TFTP server by pinging the IP address of the TFTP server.
BootRom >  ping 10.67.51.99

4. Download and install the image to the switch.
BootRom >  download image 10.67.51.99 summitX-15.6.1.4.xos
