Objective
How to configure AirDefense polling Wing controller and preventing it from polling the APs directly.

Procedure
1. Login to the Wing controller via GUI

2. Go to > Configuration-->Management--> <add>

3. Enter policy name then click 'continue'

4. Add user role.

5. Fill-in following fields (User name and Password)

6. Disable all SNMP or uncheck all SNMP, click 'Ok' and 'Commit Save'.

7. Apply Management Policy No-SNMP to AP profile
Configuration-->Profiles <select AP profile>, click 'Ok' adn 'Comment Save'

8. Verify setting on CLI; 
 
a. login to Wing Controller CLI command line interface
b. key in enable <e>
c. show run <e>
Output as follow;

9. AirDefense - configuring communication profile for Wing controller import using SNMPv3, click 'Save' and 'Apply'.

10. Import/Discovery Wing controller via SNMPv3 
Enter; Wing IP address, select profile. Start Import & View Status

11. Configuration Complete
Additional notes
  • Once Wing controller is discovered it will be 'online' status under AirDefense along with all adopted APs.
  • Wing controller must have WLAN license applied.
