  • WirelessWiNG Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Access Points
  • WirelessWiNG Acess Points
  • WiNG 5.5.3 (and above) Software
Use the below configuration in Controller and AP's to allow legacy TKIP only clients to connect
VX> enable
VX# configure
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.
VX(config)# wlan TKIP
VX(config-wlan-TKIP)# encryption-type tkip-ccmp
VX(config-wlan-TKIP)# service wpa-wpa2 exclude-ccmp
VX(config-wlan-TKIP)# commit write
In Graphical User Interface this is not fully possible as there is missing option to exclude CCMP
WebGUI allows you only to excluded TKIP / WPA from handshake options

Additional notes
The following is the procedure to disable CCMP support when TKIP/CCMP is selected per IEEE requirements, as this new requirement took effect on WiNG 5.5.3 and all newer versions.CCMP is now disabled on the WLAN to which the command was applied.
