Objective
Assigning access points with a static IP Address from the EWC WebGui
Environment
  • All ExtremeWireless Access Points
  • All Firmware versions
Procedure
For Single AP configuration:
  1. Connect to the EWC via WebGui
  2. Go to AP tab in the Menü
  3. Choose a AP which you want to change the IP address
  4. The AP Properties page will open
  5. Go to the static configuration tab
  6. Change in the IP Address Assignment from DHCP to static
  7. Save the change

For Multiple AP's, choose Multi-Edit

Version 10.01 and older:
  1. Connect to the EWC via WebGui
  2. Go to AP tab in the Menü
  3. Bulk Configuration and AP Multi-edit settings
  4. Select AP's either by Hardware Type, Individually, or multiples with a Cntrl-Right click
  5. Scroll down to search list and select "Reconfigure search list"
  6. Add IP(s) and Save

Version 10.11 and newer:
    1. Connect to the EWC via WebGui
    2. Go to AP tab in the Menü
    3. Choose Local and the AP which you want to change the IP address, or select them all
    4. Chose Actions, Multi-Edit
    5. Scroll down to search list and select "Reconfigure search list"
    6. Add IP(s) and Save

    AP's will lose their Controller information when powered down - After-power-loss-an-Access-Point-no-longer-communicates-with-the-wireless-controller
