Objective
Backup and restore running-config (running-configuration) or startup-config (startup-configuration) via WiNG command line.

Available Options: 
 
tftp://<hostname|IP>[:port]/path/file
ftp://<user>:<passwd>@<hostname|IP>[:port]/path/file
sftp://<user>:<passwd>@<hostname|IP>[:port]>/path/file
http://<hostname|IP>[:port]/path/file
usb1:/path/file
flash:/path/file

 
Environment
  • WiNG Controller RFS,NX,VX
  • WiNG AP65xx
  • WiNG AP71xx
  • WiNG AP75xx
  • WiNG AP76xx
  • WiNG AP81xx
  • WiNG AP82xx
  • WiNG AP84xx
  • WiNG AP85xx
Procedure
Backup config
  • Copy <source> <destination>
Example:  
copy running-config  tftp://<server-ip>/<file name>

 
 
Restore Config
  • Copy <source> <destination>
Example:  
tftp://<server-ip>/<file name>  startup-config
 
Practical Example: (Restore Config)
 
TFTPUSB
rfs6000-17E8F6# copy tftp://192.168.0.1/running-config  startup-config
rfs6000-17E8F6# reload
The system will be rebooted, do you want to continue? (y/n): y
Save current configuration? ([y]es/[n]o/[d]isplay unsaved/[c]ancel reload): n   
rfs6000-17E8F6# copy ubs1:/running-config  startup-config
rfs6000-17E8F6# reload
The system will be rebooted, do you want to continue? (y/n): y
Save current configuration? ([y]es/[n]o/[d]isplay unsaved/[c]ancel reload): n   
Please ensure you select “no” when asked to save else  the new confi will not take effect
