Objective
How to bring back the Swift UI on WiNG 5 AP that was previously booted into Enterprise UI
Environment
  • WirelessWiNG Access Points
  • WiNG v5.x Software
  • WirelessWiNG
  • AP75xx
Procedure
In order to get the Swift UI back on a WiNG 5 AP after booting into Enterprise UI, the AP must be factory defaulted.

Best method is to use a null modem cable and using 3rd party emulator (e.g. latest PuTTy) that supports serial connection. Users must determine the COM port used on host PC for serial communications.

Current WiNG 5 APs (e.g. AP75xx/AP76xx/AP8xxx) use the following serial parameters:

Speed/Baud = 115200
Data Bits = 8
Stop Bits = 1
Parity = None
Flow Control = Xon/Xoff

Once connected to the AP via serial connection, perform the following:

User: reset
Password: FactoryDefault

Capitalization matters with the above commands.

AP will reboot into Factory Defaults using Swift UI.
