How can I configure DHCP using graphical user interface of WiNG Enterprise device?
Environment
  • All Summit WM3000 Series Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Controllers
  • WirelessWiNG Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Access Points
  • WirelessWiNG Acess Points
  • WiNG 5.5+ Software
Procedure
Locate DHCP service under Configuration -> Services -> DHCP Server Policy and Add a new one
You will be prompted to put a name for this policy first

Now you have to create a DHCP pool of your choice.
  • Specify subnet size and network - i.e. 192.168.0.0/24
  • Optionally specify the domain name
  • Specify DNS server and use green arrow to store it - i.e. 8.8.8.8
  • Speciy Default router's IP and use green arrow to store it - i.e. 192.168.0.1
  • Specify the IP range used

Commit and save and move to Configuration -> Devices -> Select controller or device you want to run the service on. Find Profile overrides -> Interface -> Virtual Interfaces -> Select VLAN of your choice

Double click the VLAN you want to use DHCP service on and change assigned address / DHCP to IP address from DHCP pool of your choice. Confirm, Commit and save.

Confirm IP address is assigned in IP Address column to correct VLAN and move to Services

Commit and Save and confirm DHCP policy is assigned and working under Statistics -> Find the device and under DHCP server check Networks. You shall see the pool marked to an interface of your choice
