TitleHow to configure SNMPv3 on the 200-Series switch
Objective
How to configure SNMPv3 on the 200-Series switch
Environment
  • 200-Series
  • All firmware versions
  • Command Line Interface
Procedure

Additional notes
  • GROUP_NAME is only internally relevant.  USER_NAME is what needs to match with what is configured on the SNMP server.
  • This article shows a configuration example using SHA for the authentication password.  MD5 is also available, simply use "auth-md5" instead of "auth-sha", as seen in the example.
  • DES is the only available option for privacy password.  AES is not supported.
  • "Default" is a pre-configured SNMP view that includes the whole tree.  You can optionally create your own SNMP views using "snmp-server view ..."
