What is required to configure WiNG AP to act as a wireless client bridge?
Environment
  • All Summit WM3000 Series Controllers
  • ExtremeWireless WiNG Controllers
  • ExtremeWireless WiNG Access Points
  • WiNG 5 Software
Procedure
WiNG APs are capable of acting as a client bridge to intermediate wireless connection to non-wireless clients.
You can turn on the bridge feature in device's radio interface context

Using CLI:
AP(config-profile-default-AP)#interface radio 2
AP(config-profile-default-AP-if-radio2)#
 rf-mode bridge
 bridge ssid BRIDGE
 bridge encryption-type ccmp
 bridge wpa-wpa2 psk 0 sseteambrno

Using GUI:

Navigate to Configuration - Profiles - Device profile - Interface - Radios - Radio X - Radio Settings

Then fine tune the Client Bridge Settings

However, you have to keep in mind that the way APs act may differ per platform.

Unlike AP6522 only Client Bridge Radio Base MAC address will be seen on the infrastructure.
