Environment

Procedure
If use SNMPv1/v2 you just need to go onto the Wireless controller and do the following:

1. Open the webview on the wireless controller.
2. Change to the Controller -> Network -> SNMP tab.
3. Enter the IP address of the Extreme Management server in the Manage A or B field
4. Click Save.


For SNMPv3:

1. Enter the Destination IP as the Extreme Management IP.
2. Click Save.
3. Start NetSight Console.
4. Right click on the wireless controller and select Trap Receive Configuration.
5. Change to the snmptrapd tab.
6. Highlight the row for the wireless controller.
7. Make sure that the correct SNMP credential name is selected. If not change it.
8. Click the Add to File button.

You should see a new line in the snmptrapd.conf file with the engineID of the controller.

9. Click the Save button.
10. Restart the snmptrap service on the server.
