Objective
To configure the date and time (clock) on a WiNG controller or AP
Environment
  • WiNG APs
  • WiNG Controllers
  • WiNG 5.x
Procedure
Prerequisites:
  • WiNG 5.x
  • SSH (Secure Shell) client such as Putty.exe
or
  • Console connection using console cable. Baud rates 119200 or 115200.

Instructions:
Log into the controller or AP via CLI and run the following commands:
>clock set <HH:MM:SS> <1-31> <MONTH> <1993-2035> {on <DEVICE-NAME>}
>show clock

- <HH:MM:SS> Sets the current time (in military format hours, minutes, and seconds)
- <1-31> Sets the numerical day of the month
- <MONTH> Sets the month of the year (Jan to Dec)
- <1993-2035> Sets a valid four digit year from 1993 - 2035
- {on <DEVICE-NAME>} Optional. Sets the clock on a specified device
- <DEVICE-NAME> – Specify the name of the AP, wireless

Example: 
rfs4000>clock set 14:25:35 15 Feb 2013 
rfs4000>show clock 
2013-02-15 14:25:40 UTC
