Procedure
Example below shows that all traffic on port 10 will be mirrored to port 1-3 with the loopback port being 4:
 
configure mirror "DefaultMirror" add port 10 ingress-and-egress
configure mirror "DefaultMirror" to port-list 1-3 loopback-port 4
enable mirror "DefaultMirror"
X440-8p.9 # show mirror

DefaultMirror   (Enabled)
    Description:    Default Mirror Instance, created automatically
    Mirror to ports: 1-3   loopback port: 4
    Source filter instances used :  1
        Port 10, all vlans, ingress and egress

Mirrors defined:          1
Mirrors enabled:          1 (Maximum 4)
HW filter instances used: 1 (Maximum 128)
HW mirror instances used: 1 ingress, 1 egress (Maximum 4 total, 2 egress)

 
Additional notes
Things to know about mirroring:
  • The loopback-port is an unused port that is required when you mirror to a port-list.
  • The loopback-port is not available for switching user data traffic.
  • Multiple instance mirroring is available from EXOS 15.3
  • Egress mirroring is available only with port-based mirroring.
  • You cannot mirror the same port in multiple ports or mirror instances.
