Using Control to add users to a End Systems Group
Environment
  • NAC
  • Control
  • Extreme Management Center
Procedure
  • Click on Control Tab
  • Click on Access Control 
  • Click on Group Editor
  • Click on End Systems

  • To create a new End System Group, Click the  Green + button
  • The Add New Group Window will appear. Give a Name and Description to it, then hit Create

  • The Add New Group Window will enlarge and then create an End System Entry Editor to add hosts
  • Click on the Add Button There.

  • An Add Entry Window appears. Enter the MAC address (if chosen as End system type), give it a description, then Click Add.
  • (With Mac Address Entries, dashes or colon (- or : ) can be used, but it will be stored with a colon symbol.)

  • After Clicking Add, It should show up in the Add New Group Window, under the End-System Entry Editor Window

  • Click Save & Close. you will be prompted to make changes to the group.

  • You will then want to Enforce the changes to the appliances.

Additional notes
It is also possible to add an End system to a group via the End Systems Tab. See How to add users to a group from the End Systems List to a Group in Extreme Management Center Control Tab

The use of an End System group is only relevant if it is added to a rule in the Access Control Configuration.
