If you do not have the generated reset password
Please contact GTAC (How to contact Extreme Networks Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC)
) with the following device information:
- Serial Number.
- MAC address.
GTAC will provide you with the correct password, bear in mind to keep the special characters and copy/type it as it is (respecting also lower/upper case).If you already have the generated reset password
- Open your SSH program and enter the IP address of the AP you want to reset
- If you get the following security alert (RSA key fingerprint), select yes
- You will be prompt to log in, introduce the username reset and press enter. Then introduce the generated password
login as: reset [enter]
email@example.com's password: paSSw0rd^ [enter] (this is an example password)
- When introducing the password be careful as you will not be able to see what you are writing. If you introduce the wrong password you will be prompted to introduce the password again. If the password is correct, you will get a session timeout and the AP will get factory settings.
