First, upload the .iso file to hypervisor’sdatastore
Create a new virtual machine
Select a name & Guest OS
Identifying the guest operating system here allows the wizard to provide the appropriate defaults for the operating system installation.
Compatability -- Chose default
Guest OS family -- Linux
Guest OS version -- Other Linux ( 64-bit) or CentOS (64bit)
Select the datastore in which to store the configuration and disk files.
The following datastores are accessible from the destination resource that you selected.
Select the destination datastore for the virtual machine configuration files and all of the virtual disks. Customize settings
Configure the virtual machine hardware and virtual machine additional options.( NOTE: Before Setting Memory & Hard Drive Requirements Please Refer To The Scalability Table found here What is the ADSP Scalability?)
Memory - 36GB
HDD - 500GB
SCSI controller - native VMware
Network Adapter - select the VM Network desired
CD/DVD Drive1 - Datastore ISO file, Connect at power on, browser for required ADSPvX.iso
Locate the ADSP machine and power it on
When prompted by bootloader write “yes”
System will initialize and prepare the installer
Agree with installation prompt and continue to next page
ADSP bootloader will partition available disk space and install system and packages
When VM starts it offers you to choose memory test or boot into ADSP
Once logged with default credentials
(smxmgr / smxmgr)
navigate to (C)onfigure – (IP) and either confirm IP address or set one of your preference
Access the ADSP system via GUI
(https://IP:8543 | admin & admin123), accept EULA and collect Appliance Keys
Send the appliance key file to GTAC representative and they will provide license file for the new installation (This method to be used if no network connectivity is available otherwise AuthCodes can be activated via online process )
Apply provided license key to open ADSP features using Add Licenses – "I have license file"
