Objective
How to modify an existing guest radius user on AP/Controller v5.8.x via CLI (command line interface)
Environment
  • WiNG Controller
  • WiNG AP
Procedure
Using a 3rd party emulator to access either a WiNG v5.8 wireless controller and/or AP (e.g. PuTTy). Log into the wireless controller and/or AP (if stand-alone or virtual controller is deployed). Once logged in, perform the following:

enable [enter]
configure [enter]
radius-user-pool-policy xxxxxx [enter] (x represents the policy name. After the word policy, you can hit the tab key to auto-fill, if only one user pool is defined, otherwise it will list the names of all user pools and select the one you want to modify)
show context [enter] (this will show all users defined)
user xxxxxx password 0 yyyyyyy group zzzzzz guest expiry-time hh:mm expiry-date mm/dd/yyyy start-time hh:mm start-date mm/dd/yyyy [enter] (x represents user name, y user password, and z guest group)
com wr [enter] (to save)
show context [enter] (verify user parameters have been modified)
