TitleHow to rename a vlan in WiNG
Rename a previous existing vlan on the device configuration.
  • All Summit WM3000 Series Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Controllers
  • WirelessWiNG Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Access Points
  • WirelessWiNG Acess Points
  • WiNG v5.X Software
Follow the procedure below:
  • Create the new vlan in order to pass the configuration from the previous one, to the new one. To perform that you need to do the following set of commands, insert an enter after each of one:
> enable
# conf t
# profile ap7522 <profilename>
# interface vlan <yournewvlannum>
  • After this, introduce the same configuration from the other vlan, note, that you only can have ip dhcp client request options all in only one interface. Here is an example:
# interface vlan133
# ip address dhcp
# ip dhcp client request options all
  • Once you have everything configured, type exit and pulse enter to get back to the previous level of configuration. Then you can proceed to remove the previous vlan configured:
# exit
# no interface vlan <prevlannum>
# comm wr
