Objective
Restart a NetSight server from Linux command line
Environment
NetSight  Linux version
Procedure
  1. SSH to the NetSight server and log in as root
  2. execute server nsserver restart

OR
  1. SSH to the NetSight server and log in as root
  2. cd /usr/local/Extreme_Networks/NetSight/scripts
  3. execute ./stopserver.sh  && ./startserver.sh
Additional notes
The following will allow observation of the server.log during the restart:
  1. cd /usr/local/Extreme_Networks/NetSight/scripts
  2. execute ./stopserver.sh  && ./startserver.sh &&  tail -f ../appdata/logs/server.log
