TitleHow to restart snmptrapd in NetSight of linux version
Objective
When configuring SNMP Trap in NetSight console, nssnmptrapd service must be restarted for the changes to take effect. In Window version, it is easy to restart snmp service via icon on taskbar. If your NetSight is Linux version, you can restart nssnmptrapd service with below procedures.
Environment
  • NetSight Linux version
Procedure
  1. Login SSH to NetSight
  2. Execute below command
sudo /etc/init.d/nssnmptrapd stop
sudo /etc/init.d/nssnmptrapd start

Please confirm that the result of each commands should be "Success".

root@PSPNetSight:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/nssnmptrapd stop
Stopping nssnmptrapd daemon service.[SUCCESS]

root@PSPNetSight:~$ 
root@PSPNetSight:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/nssnmptrapd start
Starting nssnmptrapd daemon service.
[SUCCESS]
