TitleHow to roll back a WiNG AP to a previous firmware version
Objective
To boot the device up into a firmware version contained in the other (primary or secondary) partition. The firmware may be an older or newer version and the same instructions apply either way. 
Environment
  • WiNG 5.x
  • AP75xx series
  • AP76xx
  • AP81xx/82xx series
  • AP85xx
  • AP84xx
  • AP65xx
  • NX series controllers
  • RFS series controllers
  • VX series controllers
Procedure
Prerequisites:
  • SSH (Secure Shell) client such as Putty.exe
Procedure:
  1. Launch Putty.exe, select the SSH radio button, enter IP address of the AP and click on Open

  1. Log into the AP and run the following commands:​
Note: In this example we will assume that the AP is booted up into the secondary firmware image and you'd like to roll it back to the primary firmware image, but it might also be the other way around i.e. the AP is booted up into the primary firmware image and wanting to roll it back to the secondary firmware image.
