Objective
Upgrade EXOS and SSH module using SCP to transfer the EXOS image and SSH module
Environment
EXOS All
Procedure
1.  Upload the EXOS image and SSH module to the SCP server.
 
Note: Netsight also has a SCP server running so you can download them directly from Netsight if you have already downloaded them to Netsight.  The default location for EXOS images is in "firmware/images/".
 
2.  Use the scp2 <user>@<scp_server>:<remote_file> <local_file> command to download the EXOS image. The switch will prompt for the password.

3. Install the EXOS image to the inactive partition with the install image command.

4.  Use the scp2 command again to download the SSH module.

5.  Install the SSH module to the inactive partition with the install image command.

SSL will be usable after restart of thttpd process. Restart snmpMaster process to use AES/3DES users for SNMPv3.

6.  Select the inactive partition to be used on the next reboot. In this example, the secondary partition is the inactive partition, where the new image has been installed.

7.  Reboot the switch to use the newly installed EXOS image.

file (primary.cfg) and reboot?

At this point, the switch should be running the new EXOS image, and be able to be accessed via SSH.

Note that the SSH module must be installed in order to use SCP.
SCP commands are not available in EXOS
