Environment
  • RFS7000
  • RFS6000
  • RFS4000
  • NX55xx 
  • NX75xx
  • NX9xxx (See additional notes)
  • WiNG 5.x
Procedure
  1. upload the image into the root of the USB thumb drive
  2. Plug thumb drive into the USB port on your controller. If the controller does not recognize it, try the following:
    1. Use the second USB port, if available
    2. Use another thumb drive
    3. Reboot the controller (with the thumb drive plugged in (except in the case of NX95xx and NX96xx controllers. Please see additional notes)
  3. SSH (Secure Shell) or console (baud rate or speed: 19200 or 115200 depending on the controller model) into the controller and run the following commands:
    1. Mount the USB thumb drive:​
>en
#cd usb1
  1. Make sure that the image is visible
#dir usb1
  1. Upgrade, verify and reboot
#upgrade usb1:/<filename(case sensitive)>  
#show boot 
#reload
Additional notes
NX95xx and NX96xx controller will not fully boot if USB drive is detected during POST.
Please remove USB drive before rebooting controller.
