TitleHow to customize the Show commands displayed output on WiNG controllers or APs
Objective

To customize the "Show" command output so that only the required information is displayed on the screen. Unrequired information will be filtered out. 

Environment
  • WiNG controllers : NX5500, NX7500, NX7510, NX7520, NX7530, NX9500, NX9510, NX9600, VX9000, RFS4000, RFS6000, RFS7000
  • WiNG Access Points : AP650, AP6511, AP6521, AP6522, AP6532, AP6562, AP71XX, AP7502, AP7522, AP7532, AP7562, AP7622, AP81XX, AP82XX, AP8432, AP8533
  • CLI
  • WiNG 5.x

 

Procedure
Prerequisites:
  • SSH (Secure Shell) client such as Putty.exe or console cable for console port connection using baud rates 19200 or 115200 (equipment age dependant)
Instructions:
  • Log into the AP or controller via SSH or console port and run the following commands:
>en
#conf t
#customize <show-command> ?
(The "?" will provide you with a list of outputs to choose from)
#customize <show-command> <output>
(One or more outputs may be selected per example herein)
#com wr

Example:
#show wireless radio

  adopt-to     The adopting controller
  ap-name      Host-name of the AP to which this radio belongs
  channel      The configured and current channel of the radio
  location     Location of the AP to which this radio belongs
  num-clients  Number of clients associated with this radio
  power        The configured and current transmit power of the radio
  radio-alias  Radio alias with AP's Hostname and the radio interface number
               in the form of hostname:RX
  radio-id     Radio ID with AP mac and the radio interface number in the form
               of AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF:RX
  radio-mac    The base mac of the radio
  rf-mode      The RF mode of the radio radio ( 2.4GHz-Wlan/5GHz-wlan/sensor )
  state        The current operational state of the radio
#customize show-wireless-radio ap-name radio-mac channel
