Procedure
1. On N/S/K-Series to enable IGMP Snooping per VLAN:
set igmp enable <VLAN_ID>
2. On Securestack switches to enable IGMP Snooping per Port:
set igmpsnooping interfacemode *.*.* enable
set igmpsnooping adminmode enable
3. To enable an IGMP querier on N/S/K (Only one Querier required for each VLAN participating):
set igmp query-enable <VLAN_ID>

4. to enable an IGMP Querier on a Securestack Router with Querier at Layer-2(Only one Querier required for each VLAN participating):

set igmpsnooping adminmode enable
set igmpsnooping querier enable
set igmpsnooping <VLAN_ID> enable
set igmpsnooping querier <VLAN_ID> enable
set igmpsnooping querier <VLAN_ID> address <LAYER-3_IP_ADDRESS>
set igmpsnooping querier election participate <VLAN_ID> enable

5. If on Securestack that does not support Layer-2 querier, one can be set at Layer-3:

router
enable
configure
ip igmp
interface vlan <VLAN_ID>
ip igmp enable
exit
Additional notes
  • N-Series, S-Series and K-Series use identical IGMP configuration.
  • Only C5 and B5-Series switches latest code track can be setup to be a Layer-2 Querier
  • Do not Enable IGMP L3 querier on a securestack if you are also performing Layer-2 IGMPSnooping
