TitleCan you monitor the amount of prefixes accepted by a BGP peer on the SLX?
Question
Can you monitor the amount of prefixes accepted by a BGP peer on the SLX like you could on the MLX?
Environment
  • SLX-OS
  • SLX series
Answer
SLX-OS for the SLX uses only the standard BGPv4 MIB. NetIron OS uses two MIBs for BGP, the standard BGPv4 MIB and a custom written MIB. The OID used to monitor accepted BGP prefixes is part of the custom MIB (OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.2.11.17.1.1.5) and is not presnet in the standard MIB, and so is not available on the SLX.
