TitleWhat is the correct port status for ports 1-42 on the VDX 2740 to show when "UP"?
Question
What is the correct port status for ports 1-42 on the VDX 2740 when the ports are "UP", in the output from show interface status?
Environment
  • NOS
  • VDX 2740
Answer
Ports 1-42 are internal ports on the VDX 2740, connected to the chassis backplane, there is no slot for SFP's. As such, NOS displays the status as sfpabsent when issuing the show interface status command.
