Question

Environment
  • WiNG APs
  • WiNG controllers
  • WiNG 5.x
  • SSH (Secure Shell)
  • Putty.exe or similar software
  • CLI
  • WebUI
Answer
Here are a few possible reason that may be the cause of this issue:
  1. No Auto-Provisioning policy has been configured and the APs are using the default rf-domain and AP profile
  2. Auto-Provisioning policy is improperly configured
  3. The APs have not been manually mapped to the correct rf-domain and AP profile and are still using the default parameters
  4. The APs have been mapped to the wrong AP profile and rf-domain
Solution:
  1. Create an Auto-Provisioning policy:
  1. Recheck your Auto-provisioning policy:
  1. Manually map the AP to the correct rf-domain and profile:
  • Via WebUI, log into the controller and go to Configuration >> Devices >> Device Configuration >> Select the AP you'd like to make modifications to >> Edit >> Basic >> RF Domain >> Select the correct rf-domain from the drop down menu >> Profile >> Select the correct profile from the drop down menu >> Ok >> Commit and Save
  1. Verify that the AP is mapped to the correct rf-domain and AP profile and make the necessary changes:
  • Follow same procedure provided in step 3
