TitleBootup error: Invalid ACL Name! First character of the ACL name cannot be number
Question
When doing aNetiron code upgrade from a previous release, like 5.6 or earlier to 5.7 or later, the following boot-up error messages may be seen on the console, if there are existing ACL with namesthat startwith numbers:

Invalid ACL Name! First character of the ACL name cannot be number

Invalid input -> sequence 10 deny any 0100.5e00.0000 ffff.ff00.0000 100 etype any log , sequence 10 deny any 0100.5e00.0000 ffff.ff00.0000 100 etype any log

Type ? for a list

Environment
Answer
The reason for the above error is, starting from 5.7, the 1st character of theACL name must be aletter, not a number. The following configuration will not be acceptedon old releases:

mac access-list 0000-NO-MCAST
sequence 10 deny any 0100.5e00.0000 ffff.ff00.0000 100 etype any log
sequence 20 deny any 0100.0c00.0000 ffff.ff00.0000 100 etype any log
sequence 30 permit any any any etype any

The fix is the change the name to something like ACL-0000-NO-MCAST
