Answer
No, the full string of the AP Name must be used. Additional AP strings can be added and separated by commas. A full wildcard * is the default, and allows any AP name through.

Additional notes
Make sure radius TLV's are enabled for AP  name on the Wireless controller for us to trigger off. See the below article for general guidance.
