Question
How can I cancel an AP device upgrade with staggered reboot in WiNG?

Environment
  • WiNG 5.x
  • All WiNG controllers
  • All WiNG APs
  • Does not apply to legacy equipment
  • SSH (Secure Shell)
  • Console connection (baud rate: 19200 or 15200)
Answer
If staggered-reboot is configured for AP upgrade and needs to be cancelled, the whole upgrade process itself has to be cancelled and reconfigured anew with the correct option/s. Log into the controller via SSH or console port and run the following commands:
  1. Cancel the AP upgrade process:
>en
#device-upgrade cancel-upgrade all
#com wr
  1.  Run the command leaving out "staggered-reboot".
#device-upgrade rf-domain <rf-domain name> all
or
#device-upgrade rf-domain <rf-domain name> <AP model>

Use the "?" (question mark) to find all the available "device-upgrade" command variants and select the one that best corresponds to your situation.
Examples:
#device-upgrade ?
#device-upgrade rf-domain <rf-domain name> ?
#device-upgrade rf-domain <rf-domain name> all ?
