Question
Can the AP-5131-13000-D-WR be configured as a stand-alone/independent access point?
Environment
  • AP5131
  • AP-5131
  • AP-5131-13000-D-WR
  • AP-5131-44000-WW
Answer
AP-5131-13000-D-WR is a dependent legacy access point that was supported only with wireless controller models WS5100 (v3.x), RFS4000/RFS6000/RFS7000 on WiNG v4. WiNG v3 and v4 are no longer supported and/or sustained by Extreme Networks and networks using these legacy devices should be looking to refresh their wireless networks to current technologies.

AP5131 with a D in the part number can only be used in conjunction with a legacy wireless controller (models above).
