APs that are no longer in use will retain their config on the adoptive controller. To reduce clutter, it is recommended that said APs be deleted from the controller.
This can be done from the WebUI as such:
There is no option to select multiple APs for deletion. This has to be done one at a time.
- Log into the controller from WebUI
- Go to Configuration >> Devices >> Device Configuration
- Select the AP to remove and click on the Delete button (bottom right corner of page)
If the APs that are no longer in use are the only ones showing up as offline on the controller, those can be removed by running the following commands:
#service delete-offline-aps ?
all Delete all Access Points
offline-for Specify minimum amount of time offline
The 'offline-for' option might also help target certain APs for deletion should you not wish to delete all:
#service delete-offline-aps offline-for ?
days Offline for certain number of days
