Question
Does EXOS have a feature similar to Cisco's ASA IP SLA?
Environment
  • EXOS 16.2 and higher
Answer
Yes. Starting in EXOS 16.2, static routes can be configured with either ping or BFD protection. Specify this at the end of the static route command. For example, configure iproute add 10.1.1.0/24 10.2.1.1 protection ping
Additional notes
Flow-redirect is a feature that performs policy-based redirects supporting multiple nexthop addresses. When a high priority nexthop becomes unreachable, another preconfigured nexthop, based on priority, replaces the first.

Similar to Cisco's ASA IP SLA, policy-based redirection redundancy requires the determination of the reachability or unreachability of the active next hop and the other configured next hops. This feature can use ARP, NDP or Ping checking to make the determination.

If you would like to configure Flow-redirect please see: How to configure flow-redirect
