Answer
Verify that hold-time and inactivity timeout matches between WLAN and captive portal.

Configure the following in your WLAN (via CLI):
  • wireless-client hold-time 1800
  • wireless-client inactivity-timeout 1800
Working Example:
vx9000>enable
vx9000#config t
vx9000(config)#wlan <your WLAN name here>
vx9000(config)#wlan Guest-Captive
vx9000(config-wlan-Guest-Captive)#wireless-client hold-time 1800
vx9000(config-wlan-Guest-Captive)#wireless-client inactivity-timeout 1800
vx9000(config-wlan-Guest-Captive)#com wr

Configure the following in your Captive Portal Policy (via CLI):
  • inactivity-timeout 1800

Additional notes
  • Default wireless-client hold-time value on WLAN is 30 secs
  • Default inactivity-timeout value on WLAN is 1800 secs
  • ​Default inactivity-timeout value on Captive Portal is 600 secs
