TitleDifference between the SSA-T1068-0652 and SSA-T1068-0652A
Question
What is the difference between the SSA-T1068-0652 and SSA-T1068-0652A?
Environment
  • S-Series
  • SSA-T1068-0652
  • SSA-T1068-0652A
Answer
The S150-class SSA-T1068-0652A, fully supported as of the 8.11.01.0014 firmware release (Jun 2013), is identical in capability, features, dimension, physical ports, and speed to the S150-class SSA-T1068-0652.

The key difference is that the SSA-T1068-0652A uses the current generation of internal components.

Do note, though, that they may utilize different firmware versions, for example but not limited to
  8.42.05.0003 only / 8.61.02.0001 only / 8.62.01.0034 only for the SSA-T1068-0652A (minimum 8.01.01.0016); and
  8.42.05.0004 only / 8.61.02.0001 or 2 / 8.62.01.0034 or 35 for the SSA-T1068-0652 (minimum 7.01.01.000X).
In general but with exceptions, any firmware that supports the SSA-T1068-0652A should also support the SSA-T1068-0652.
Prior to upgrade it is always a good idea to consult the firmware release notes for supported models:
