How do I force WiNG APs to pull DHCP option 191 that have been modified?
Environment
  • WiNG 5.x
  • All WiNG APs
Answer
There are 2 ways for the APs to pull the modified DHCP option settings:
  1. Wait until the DHCP IP address lease expires and is renewed
Or
  1. Reboot the APs and have them pull DHCP IP addresses and vendor option settings
To make sure that the DHCP options have been configured on the AP, log into the AP via CLI using PuTTY.exe or similar SSH client and run the following commands:
>sh ip dhcp-vendor-options

Example dhcp-vendor-options output:
