TitleHow to disable a WLAN from CLI in WiNG without deleting it?
Question
How do we disable a WLAN from CLI without deleting it?
Environment
  • WiNG 5.x
  • All APs
  • All Controllers
  • SSH client such as Putty.exe or Console port access (baud rates: 19200 or 115200)
  • Command Line Interface (CLI)
Answer
Log into the controller or AP via SSH and run the following commands:
>en
#conf t
#wlan <WLAN-name>
#shutdown
#com wr
#show wireless wlan config

To re-enable the WLAN use the 'no shutdown' command:
>en
#conf t
#wlan <WLAN-name>
#no shutdown
#com wr
#show wireless wlan config

Example:
>en
#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
#wlan ExtremeTest
#shutdown
#com wr
[OK]
#show wireless wlan config
