RU Manager Availability: Recovering from failover to normal mode 3
Question
The error message "RU Manager Availability: Recovering from failover to normal mode 3 " is seen on one system in an HA pair, nothing relating to the other system, and no fail over event takes place.
Environment
Availability
Mobility
ExtremeWireless
Firmware 10.41.x
Answer
There are 2 messages relating to availability:
(1) V2110 events: RU Manager Availability: Moving into failover mode 0 (2) V2210 events: RU Manager Availability: Recovering from failover to normal mode 3
1. This message is generated when ruMgr detects that link is down 2. This message is generated when ruMgr re-establish the availability link.
If you see (1) and (2) then there was actually a failover event.
If you only see (2) then there may have been some packet loss and ruMgr have quickly re-established one side of the availability link.
