TitleReauthenticaption precedence in EXOS
Question
why is authentication re-authentication configured by the Netsight not being applied.
Environment
Netsight
EXOS
Answer
Re authentication inEXOS can be configured in 3 different places i.e.

1) per the policy framework
2) per Netloging - port
3) per Netloging global

per design the re authentication  is supposed to follow the rules above. However users may find them selfs in the position where they have configured reauthentication parameters over the netsight  but those are still not beeing executed. The reason for that is that first we need to explicitelly disable the netloging reauthentication per port and global with the commands:

for 802.1x users:

configure netlogin dot1x timers reauth-period 3600 reauthentication off
configure netlogin dot1x timers reauth-period 0
configure netlogin session-timeout dot1x 0

for MAC user

configure netlogin mac ports 2 timers reauth-period 3600 reauthentication off
configure netlogin mac timers reauth-period 0
configure netlogin session-timeout mac 0

after applying those commands the re-authentication configured by Netsight will apply.
