Lets consider the below scenario

SW1 -- SW2 -- host

When we ping from the SW1 using the VRRP-E virtual IP to the host, the ICMP reply from host will frst reach the SW2. Since short-path forwarding is enabled SW2 tries to process the ICMP reply it will not forward the ICMP reply to the SW1. It is an expected behavior
