TitleUnable to set card odometer - Unable to set card r.
Question
Why are the below error messages logged?
Unable to set card odometer
Unable to set card r

Environment
  • Summit
  • X460
  • X480
  • EXOS ALL
Answer
When the switch fails to update the EEPROM for Odometer object these logs are reported.
If the log message appears every 30 seconds, then it could be a possible EEPROM corruption.
If the log appeared only once, it could be ignored as it is not harmful.

There is a known issue, Field Notice FN0375 where the eeprom is corrupted on X460 and X480 when 12.4 < EXOS > 12.5.3 was used. Upgrading did not resolve the corruption as that needed to be fixed manually.
