Answer
The XSR console port requirements:
  • 9-pin DB9F Null Modem cable (receive and transmit pins 2 and 3 crossed)
  • Terminal emulator software or VT100 type terminal
  • Settings:
  • 9600 Baud
  • 8 data bits
  • 1 stop bit
  • no parity
  • X-on/X-off or NONE for Flow Control 
  • Default Login in username is "admin" with no password
Additional notes
  • Newer PCs and laptops that do not have a DB9 serial port will require a USB2 to DB9 Serial adapter as well as the Null Modem cable
